Koh Ngai - Our Paradise Island
Koh Ngai is an island in Krabi Province, but can better be reached via Trang on the southern Andaman Coast. Koh Ngai, also known as Ko Hai, is located 13 km south of Koh Lanta. It is one of the Koh Lanta group of islands that make up the Koh Lanta National Marine Park.
Like many other coastal destinations in southern Thailand, it is known for its diving and white sandy beaches. However, different to other holiday destinations in the area, Koh Ngai is still mainly unspoilt and a true paradise island.
Small and triangular in shape with less than 5 square km in size, Koh Ngai has a forested interior and offers pristine white sandy beaches alongside clear water and good corals which encircle the entire island making it a perfect place for snorkelling and diving. There is still little development on the island, no streets, no markets, no 7 11. So if you are looking for a relaxed holiday, this is the place to be!
Accommodation
There are several resorts on Ko Hai that you can choose from. You can find luxurious villas but also two camp sites. All are in walking distance from our dive school.
We are located within Koh Hai Fantasy Resort on the southern end of the main beach.
How to get here
Ko Hai is a secluded island and accessible only by boat. It is about 45 minutes by longtail boat from Pakmeng Pier located in Trang Province which is the nearest pier to the island. This can easily be reached from Trang city or the airport of Trang by either shared minivan or private taxi. Krabi airport is not too far away either and a taxi should take about 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on the traffic. You can also take the direct speed boat connection from either Ko Lanta (45 minutes) or from Ko Lipe (2 3/4 hours).
